Our client is a market leader within the steam, condensate and hot water industries, and are now seeking a Business Development Technician, who will contribute to the growth and development of the brand, by building and maintaining strong working relationships with potential and existing clients.
This is a field-based position where you will be working with complete autonomy, servicing the VIC, ACT, TAS and southern NSW markets.
A Mechanical Engineering background is the primary skill set, therefore the desire to get out into the Industrial markets, identify and solve problems is a must.
**Your primary responsibilities, but not limited to**
- Be the principal company representative to an existing customer base and build strong customer relationships
- Generate new business opportunities to increase annual turnover
- Identify new market opportunities within existing accounts and new prospects
- Update company CRM with weekly activities in a timely manner
- Undertaking sales calls and visits, along with developing quotations to both existing and prospective recent customers
- Weekly, or as needed, interaction with National Manager based in QLD
- Assist with, and implement, new market strategies for your regions
- Seek opportunities for Engineering resources to undertake Steam Surveys, and potential for Steam and Energy audits
- ** **At least 5 years of experience in similar sales role - **(experience in steam, condensate and hot water highly desirable)**:
- Previous experience in B2B sales working autonomously
- Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and sales driven
- Target and KPI focused with an excellent track record in sales
- A positive attitude, willing to go the extra mile, an outstanding work ethic and have a strong passion to grow within the business
- Hold a current driver's licence
- Police clearance
