A leading gold producer in WA is looking for a Senior Mine Production Engineer to join their growing underground operation. With an expanding orebody, this is a technically rich, career-defining role offering both challenges and rewarding career development.
Reporting to the Alternate Underground Manager, you'll take ownership of short to medium-term production planning, oversee stope design and drill/blast processes, support junior engineers, and contribute to continuous operational improvement.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and implement weekly, monthly & quarterly production plans
Oversee stope design, drill & blast strategies to optimise recovery
Monitor and reconcile production vs. plan; deliver accurate EOM data
Mentor and guide the mine planning team to meet performance targets
Communicate challenges to leadership and support improvement projects.
What we're looking for:
Degree in Mining Engineering or similar
WA first class Mine Manager's Certificate
Significant underground experience (gold preferred)
Strong planning, leadership and software skills (Deswik/Ventsim)
Exposure to both contractor and owner-miner environments.
