About the Role
As the School Technical Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the school's information and communication technology (ICT) services to enhance student learning opportunities. Reporting to the Principal, Business Manager, or a nominated delegate, you will provide technical expertise and assistance to staff, students, and families.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing advice and support on ICT operations, including acquisition, installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
* Assisting staff and students with technical issues, including troubleshooting and resolving ICT-related problems.
* Delivering in-service training to staff on the effective use of ICT tools for educational purposes.
* Maintaining ICT infrastructure and ensuring compliance with departmental and school policies and standards.
* Communicating with stakeholders and providing technical advice as needed.
This role is ideal for a solutions-focused professional with a passion for technology and a commitment to supporting education in remote and rural communities.
About You
The following traits would be beneficial:
* Technical knowledge of server hardware, configuration, and networking peripherals.
* Strong understanding of PC, laptop, and Apple iPad systems, as well as printer support.
