Secure Custody Officer
This is a role that requires individuals who possess resilience, maturity, compassion, and empathy. You will work with detainees to ensure their welfare needs are met while upholding a professional and respectful demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely transport and supervise detainees during critical activities
* Participate in court activities for security requirements
* Manage conflict and communicate with empathy
* Value diversity and display a fair and open-minded attitude towards detainees in custody
* Provide safety and security for Persons in Custody, staff, employees, and members of the public
What We Offer:
* A unique training experience through a fully funded Certificate 3 in Correctional Services
* 6 weeks of paid training, equipping you with the necessary skills for this role
* A pay increase after training: starting at $27.35 during training, increasing to $29.50 post-training
* An extra $10,189 per annum spread over your fortnightly wage payments as a Regional Allowance
Requirements:
* Availability to train full time for 6 weeks in Perth
* Commitment to a minimum of 12 months to obtain qualifications
* Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, including a drug & alcohol test
