Electronic Systems Specialist Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electronic Systems Specialist to join our Maintenance Services team. This is a challenging role that requires strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of electronic systems and the ability to diagnose and repair complex faults. They will work closely with our Industrial Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our maintenance services and contribute to the development of new procedures and check sheets.
This is a permanent role based in Rouse Hill depot, working in a dynamic team environment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independently, and possess excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reliability of Records of Maintenance activities
* Compliance with all WHS policies and procedures
* Carry out routine examinations, fault finding on component level, interrogation, and diagnostic testing on electronic equipment
* Maintain and repair test bench and equipment available in the workshop
* Follow established safety procedures, good housekeeping practices, and utilise safety equipment as required
* Report daily and weekly on activities, problems found, and measures taken
* Write, edit, and fill in procedures, reports, and check sheets
* Install system hardware and software upgrades
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:
* Qualifications as an Electronic Repair Technician
* Good trouble shooting skills in electronic equipment, particularly PCB board diagnostics
* Experience with troubleshooting equipment linked to an electronic system (Oscilloscope, multimeter, external power supply)
* Advantageous to have experience in Railway maintenance activity
* Ability to design test procedures/benches
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment
