About the role
As a Control Room Operator, you'll be the eyes and ears of site security—monitoring systems, detecting risks, and coordinating responses in real time. Your quick thinking and attention to detail will help keep people, assets and operations safe while ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
This is a fast‐paced, tech‐driven role where you'll be working in a control room environment managing CCTV, alarms and access control systems. You'll monitor live activity, respond to incidents and coordinate with on‐site teams to ensure any issues are handled quickly and effectively.
No two shifts are the same—you'll be juggling multiple systems and making real‐time decisions, all while maintaining a calm, professional approach.
Job Location: North Ryde, Sydney
Contract: Permanent fulltime & part time opportunities available
Pay Rate: SSIA Level 4
Shift Pattern: Ability to work rotating day and night shifts of 12 hours
Key responsibilities
Primary duties include and are not limited to:
* Monitor CCTV, alarm systems and access control platforms to detect and respond to incidents
* Coordinate incident response, including escalating issues and communicating with on‐site teams
* Maintain accurate logs, reports and system records for all security activities
* Manage multiple systems in a fast‐paced environment while maintaining strong situational awareness
About You
* Must have Security Licence, Classification 1A (Unarmed Guarding) & 1E (Monitoring Centre Operator)
* Valid First Aid Certificate (3 years validity) with current CPR Certificate (1 year validity)
* Ability to clear an Australian Police Check
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to monitor multiple systems at once
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Ability to remain calm and professional in busy retail environments
* Good observation skills and confidence to manage and de‐escalate incidents
