Apprentice - Mechanical Fitter
The role of Apprentice - Mechanical Fitter is a unique opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in the rail manufacturing industry.
This apprenticeship will provide hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of train materials and equipment. As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced professionals to learn the trade and develop a career in mechanical fitting.
This position is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, have good measurement skills, and are able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
About the Role
* Assist in the installation and maintenance of train materials and equipment
* Participate in removal and replacement of parts and components
* Read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams
* Use hand and power tools to perform tasks
* Work collaboratively with team members to achieve goals and objectives
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Mechanical aptitude with strong measurement skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Committed to learning and undertaking TAFE courses
* Minimum age 16 with C Grades in Year 10 English and Maths or equivalent

* Working hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
