We have an opportunity for aLegal Assistant to join our growing General Insurance section basedin our Melbourne office.
The role providesadministrative support to a team of Partners and Lawyers in theGeneral Insurance team. This is a fantastic opportunity tohit the ground running and be part of a friendly, fast pacedteam.
You will be responsiblefor:
* telephone handling forthe team including answering all incoming calls;
* drafting of documentationas required;
* preparation of monthlybilling;
* manage client filemaintenance for the team;
* coordinate all outgoingmail to be signed, compiled, and delivered to themailroom;
* basic research for theteam;
* maintainsPartners/lawyers' contacts in our firm CRM InterAction,including assisting with list management on their behalf forevents and communications; and
* other ad-hocadministration duties as required.
Aboutyou
You will ideally have thefollowing skills and experience:
* Minimum 3 years'experience;
* highlyorganised;
* strong attention todetail;
* excellent communicationskills;
* a strong ability toprioritise and meet deadlines;
* experience in using legalbilling system and client management program (eg. Aderant wouldbe desirable but not required); and
* experience in usingdocument management system (eg iManage10 would be desirable butnot required).
