Position Descriptor
The Leader of the Children's Centre provides strategic and operational leadership to deliver high‑quality early childhood education and care for children from birth to 8 years. The role focuses on leading staff, strengthening curriculum and programming, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Working collaboratively with school staff, families, and external agencies, the leader supports positive developmental and learning outcomes, with a strong emphasis on successful transitions, inclusive practices, and family engagement. The position contributes to whole‑site leadership, drives continuous improvement through data‑informed practices, and fosters a safe, inclusive, and child‑centred learning environment.
In addition to the salary, other financial incentives may apply depending on the site location: education.sa.gov.au/countryteaching. Please note that part time and flexible arrangements will be considered.
