* Requires: Proven experience in machinery repair and operation of relevant equipment.
* Salary guide: $45 per hour.
* Location: Darwin, Northern Territory
Your normal day will involve:
* Completion of mechanical tasks associated with machinery repair.
* Operation of lathes and other machining equipment for the manufacture and repair of mechanical equipment.
* Operation of TIG, MIG, and stick welding equipment for basic welding repairs.
* Interpretation of engineering drawings to execute tasks effectively.
* Implementation of job plans to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
* Maintaining a clean and safe workshop and job site.
* Identification and interpretation of spare parts requirements for various jobs.
* Completion of basic paperwork associated with individual jobs.
* Accurate inspection and assessment of jobs for quoting purposes.
* Maintaining accurate timekeeping records.
* Assistance in training apprentices and other staff if required.
