Role at Australian Red Cross
Project: Volunteer Coordinator for a charity store operating in Carnegie VIC. You will manage day-to-day operations, train and lead volunteers, and help raise funds while developing retail skills.
Responsibilities
Approximate commitment of 15 hours per week
Managing the day-to-day running of a charity store to raise funds
Lead and engage a team of shop volunteers with sales and customer service
Create window and visual merchandising displays
Prepare donations for sale
Contribute skills and help raise money for those in need
Available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturdays; 2 to 3 days per week
Full days or half days (10am to 4pm)
Qualifications & Requirements
Previous experience in retail customer service/management and preloved fashion is desirable
Experienced store Coordinator to assist with training
National Police Check required (will be organised by Red Cross)

The program
Red Cross Shops sell new and donated clothes, accessories and homewares to raise funds to help people in need. Each year, we rescue 500+ tonnes of clothing from landfill, give opportunities to 3,500 volunteers, and generate funds to help Red Cross support vulnerable people in Australia and around the world. The proceeds from the sale of items support the vital everyday work of Red Cross, providing relief in times of crisis and care where it's needed most.

Our Red Cross Shop is looking for an enthusiastic Shop Coordinator to assist with store operations.

As a Red Cross Shop Coordinator Volunteer, you'll develop valuable retail skills while helping us raise funds to bring care and comfort where it's needed most. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the world's largest humanitarian network.

For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, which will be organised by Red Cross.
