At Komatsu, we're looking for a skilled Payroll Officer to take ownership of end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand — weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles.
You'll be the go-to expert ensuring compliance, accuracy, and high-quality service, working with a wide range of stakeholders across the business.
This role plays a critical part in delivering a seamless payroll experience and supporting transformation initiatives across our P&C and finance functions.
What You'll Be Doing
Processing of payroll in line with EAs, contracts, and company policies with accuracy and in a timely fashion.
Handling PAYG, super, payroll tax, and other legislative reporting.
Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies and queries.
Maintaining and generating compliant payroll records and reporting.
Supporting audits and financial planning process.
Executing end-of-month/year processes and payroll-related improvements.
Supporting and educating managers, P&C, and employees on payroll matters.
What We Are Looking For
Proven hands-on expertise in end-to-end payroll (AU/NZ), legislation, STP2, super, EA/award interpretation working within a large payroll environment.
Experience with Excel, SAP ECC6, CATS, and SuccessFactors.
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and time management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
A team player who can thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Experience in payroll system transformation or integration projects.
Solid understanding of payroll-related compliance and reporting.
