About the Role Trideca is seeking an experienced Tech Lead to serve as the senior technical anchor of an embedded delivery squad. This is a hands‑on integration engineering role first, and an architecture role second you will set patterns, unblock the team, and cut code yourself. You will join in Sprint Zero alongside the Business Analyst and Delivery Lead to validate the backlog and architecture, then lead a small team of Integration Engineers and Automation QA.

This is a team augmentation role, not a consulting role. You are in working and delivering from Week 1.

Key Responsibilities Hands‑On Integration Delivery

Design, build, test and deploy production‑grade integrations on Workato (recipes, connectors, connections, error handling, lookup tables, environments) and orchestrate secure file‑based flows via MoveIT. Implement integrations across a connected platform ecosystem of 10+ heterogeneous systems including digital care management, ERP, and rostering and scheduling tools. Own the end‑to‑end delivery of assigned integration components — from API/event contract through to production cutover, monitoring and handover.

Architecture & Technical Leadership

Validate and extend the existing integration architecture; identify gaps, risks and rework early, and propose pragmatic, low‑risk solutions. Define and enforce integration patterns, standards and re‑use across the squad — error handling, retries, idempotency, secrets management, logging, observability and environment promotion. Partner with the Enterprise Architect to align squad delivery with the target‑state integration architecture and translate that direction into executable engineering work. Contribute to API, event and data‑contract design across connected systems, with a strong bias for standardised, reusable patterns.

Squad Leadership

Lead and mentor Integration Engineers (1–2) and Automation QA, including technical onboarding, code review and pairing. Run technical refinement, estimation and sequencing of the integration backlog alongside the BA and Delivery Lead. Establish squad engineering practices — source control, branching, CI/CD, peer review, definition of done — aligned with the client’s engineering standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

Represent the squad in technical forums with client Connected Technology teams, group architecture, and third‑party vendors. Communicate trade‑offs, risks and progress clearly to both engineering and non‑technical stakeholders, including the Squad Lead and Trideca leadership.

Essential Requirements

10+ years hands‑on integration engineering experience across enterprise environments.

Strong, recent, production experience with Workato — recipes, custom connectors, connections, error handling, environments and release management. This is the primary technology for this engagement and is the priority skill.

Experience with MoveIT (or equivalent managed file transfer tooling) for secure file‑based integration flows.

Proven track record leading delivery of complex, multi‑system integrations — ideally connecting 5+ heterogeneous source and target systems within a single programme.

Strong architecture capability: able to validate an existing integration architecture, define patterns and standards, and translate architectural direction into working code.

Deep experience with API delivery (REST, JSON, OpenAPI), event‑driven integration, middleware, and common integration patterns (pub/sub, request‑reply, claim‑check, saga, CDC).

Experience leading small delivery squads (tech lead of 2–5 engineers) in an Agile/sprint‑based environment, including backlog refinement, estimation and technical mentoring.

Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control (Git), environment promotion and secrets management for integration workloads.

Demonstrated ability to mobilise quickly and deliver against tight, fixed‑date deadlines.

Highly Desirable

Integration experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (APIs, events, data model).

Experience integrating rostering, scheduling and workforce management platforms (e.g. Humanforce, Kronos, UKG, Deputy) in health, aged care or community services.

Prior experience in aged care, home care, health insurance or broader healthcare services — familiarity with clinical, care‑delivery or funding data flows.

Exposure to MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform) — useful for transferable integration pattern knowledge, though it is not the target platform for this engagement.

Experience working in embedded client squads or vendor‑augmented models, including managing delivery accountability within a client’s engineering organisation.
