Exciting opportunities exist for a dynamic and highly motivated Clinical Nurse with experience to join high-performing Operating Theatre Teams at a private hospital in Adelaide. This is a permanent full-time opportunity and it operates on a Monday to Friday roster of morning and afternoon shifts, and participates in the on-call roster.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Clinical Manager Perioperative, the Clinical Nurse performs at an advanced level of nursing practice and plays an important role in collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to drive excellence in patient care and support the achievement of key performance indicators within the Perioperative Suite by guiding and supporting the perioperative team.
You will be a suitably qualified and experienced circulating/instrument Clinical Nurse with a relevant orthopaedic perioperative background who is motivated and passionate about providing exceptional patient care and leadership in a way that helps the hospital achieve its operational goals.
REQUIREMENTS
* Current nursing registration with AHPRA;
* Advanced level of clinical skill in the specialty, with comprehensive knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and ability to adapt to changing clinical practice and models of care;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally and respectfully with patients and all members of the multidisciplinary team;
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach staff to facilitate continuous learning, improve capability, and create capacity to deliver contemporary quality care;
* Proficiency in relevant systems, particularly Microsoft Office and Patient Information Management System (PiMS);
* Awareness of and compliance with legal and ethical aspects of perioperative nursing;
* Sound knowledge of infection prevention and control principles;
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with excellent assessment ability and critical thinking mindset;
* Understanding of quality accreditation and improvement frameworks with the ability to analyse and utilise clinical data in service development and quality improvement initiatives;
* Ability to foster a culture that promotes a safe, harmonious and collaborative work environment to support patient-centred care;
* The highest ethical standards and treats all hospital and patient matters with confidentiality and respect.
