YOUR ROLE
As a Solution Design Engineer within CEVA Logistics' Contract Logistics team at Truganina VIC, you will shape scalable warehouse solutions supporting new business pursuits and existing operations enhancements. Whether from warehouse operations, continuous improvement, or solutions background, you will drive efficiency and innovation across our network.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
* Design Leadership: Create tailored warehouse solutions using storage systems, material handling equipment, and automation, aligned with customer needs and operational feasibility.
* Operational Analysis: Use your logistics or continuous improvement experience to identify opportunities for optimization and translate them into solution designs.
* Solution Development: Deliver detailed solutions for medium to high complexity opportunities, including layout planning, labour modelling, equipment recommendations, and infrastructure design.
* Commercial & Costing Support: Assess financial and operational impacts, develop investment cases, and conduct cost-benefit analyses to inform bids.
* Bid Participation: Prepare technical inputs for RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, including pricing and proposals, and respond to customer queries.
* Presentation & Stakeholder Engagement: Present solutions to stakeholders and customers, clearly articulating design rationale and commercial alignment.
* Mentoring & Development: Coach solution analysts on best practices, automation options, warehouse planning, and cost modelling.
* Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of CEVA's solution design methodology, tools, and templates.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We seek a candidate with hands-on logistics experience and a structured, analytical problem-solving approach. The ideal candidate will have:
* A tertiary qualification in industrial engineering, logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
* Experience in warehouse solution design or warehousing operations/continuous improvement in logistics.
* Strong analytical and modelling skills, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with design/simulation tools (or willingness to learn).
* Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of presenting complex ideas clearly.
* Bonus: Familiarity with warehouse automation design and implementation.
Candidates will need to provide proof of work rights, professional referees, and will undergo a medical assessment and police check.
