**The Role**
This is a unique opportunity to join Origin's LPG Operations team based in the Gympie Terminal in QLD. As a Terminal Operator, you will be responsible for the filling and testing of LPG cylinders, as well as the loading and unloading of trucks, ship discharges and Gympie LPG reticulation system in accordance with the effective and safe operation of the Gympie Terminal. Working as part of a team environment, you will play an important role in Origin's LPG Distribution process while helping to maintain the consistent quality of service to our customers.
This role will involve repeated manual handing of cylinders up to 85 kg.
**Reporting to the Terminal Manager, your key accountabilities will include but will not be limited to**:
- Act in accordance with Origin Energy Ltd Health Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures
- Receive, check, unload, and dispatch in accordance with company operating procedures all LPG consigned to the terminal
- Oversee the loading and/or unloading of LPG at the terminal
- Carry out repairs and retests and refurbishment on LPG cylinders to ensure sufficient working stocks of these items are maintained
- Control and record the movements inwards and outwards of all LPG cylinders and bulk tanks
- Participate in the safe Loading and unloading of LPG product from tankers in the terminal
- Perform LPG product transfers between tanks within the terminal
- Assist with regular stocktaking of LPG Product Cylinders and Bulk Tanks
- Assist with undertaking and completing weekly and monthly checks and tests of the LPG terminal, fire protection system, LPG vehicles and complete appropriate checklists in accordance with Origin Energy operational procedures
**Further accountabilities include**:
- Report any terminal, vehicle, equipment or hazard in the required format
- Liaise with employees and visitors to the terminal
- Ensure contractors comply with access and work permit requirements
- Ensure correct storage and handling of hazardous materials, LPG spare parts and equipment within the terminal
- Control all access to the terminal in accordance with company and statutory requirements
- Maintain terminal housekeeping in a clean and tidy condition in all outdoor and inside locations
- Perform minor maintenance tasks to maintain the serviceability of the LPG terminal
- Assist in coordinating and undertaking regular and timely servicing, repair, testing and inspection of terminal equipment
- Undertake all training and development courses as nominated by the management of Origin Energy
- Act in the capacity of a member of the site emergency team as described in the site Emergency Response Plan
- Perform or assist with all clerical duties, as may be required to record or report on all activities as necessary to comply with company and statutory requirements
**Is This You?**
To succeed in this role you will demonstrate the ability to maintain a calm and focused disposition during busy, noisy or emergency situations. You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills which will allow you to liaise with internal and external stakeholders effectively as well as perform any clerical duties as required.
- You will meet the physical requirements of the role which will include the repeated lifting of 25 kg LPG cylinders up to shoulder height and manoeuvre cylinders up to 85 kg.
- You will have a minimum of two years' experience in a factory, warehouse or other technical and/or operational environment. Experience in the LP Gas or Fuel industry and any ship to shore experience would be highly advantageous.
- A forklift licence, HR Truck licence and/or a Senior First Aid Certificate would be considered advantageous. Full training including on all safety aspects will be provided to the successful applicant.
- Ability to study for and achieve Certification as an Approved Person relating to the Cylinder Retest Station
