About the company
We are working with a fund that is looking for a CFO to come in at its grass root inception and help shape the companies trajectory, as such we are seeking expressions of interest from senior finance leaders in the Melbourne market.
As a key member of the executive team and reporting to the CEO, you will be a highly visible leader and will play a key role in enabling the business to meet growth targets. With the support of the existing executive team, you will be empowered to make changes and improve systems, process and team dynamics.
This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned finance leader who thrives in dynamic environments, can work with and build close-knit teams and is looking to play a hands-on role in shaping the financial future of a growing, purpose-driven business.
Duties
- Lead the financial strategy, ensuring alignment with the organisation's goals
- Work with existing team and external support to oversee financial reporting, tax and compliance
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
- Manage risk, ensure robust internal controls, and support compliance
- Optimise cash flow and working capital strategies
- Partner on potential M&A;, investment, and growth opportunities
- Be a key advisor to the CEO and Board on financial and commercial matters
- Represent the organisation to a variety of external stakeholders
- Ensure the effective allocation of resources in the team and use of external support
Skills & Experience
- Self evident experience leading out finance functions at a strategic & operational level
- Proven experience in the funds or an adjacent industry
- CA or similar qualification
- Multi asset exposure advantageous
