Digital Producer Online Assessment and Learning Tools

At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training.

Temporary Full-Time up to 26 January 2027 with possible extension. Located in Parramatta with flexible hybrid work arrangements. Salary Clerk Grade 7/8 from $113,574 to $125,720 base plus superannuation and leave loading.

About the role

The role performs end to end services for the production of online assessment and reporting. The role provides technical expertise, business analysis, preparation of digital assets for online assessment and administration of an item bank.

About you

You'll be someone who enjoys collaborating with others across a range of disciplines including technical teams and educators. Your strengths will include excellent attention to detail, strong communication and coordination skills. You will be able to use a range of software applications within department guidelines to perform a variety of tasks in this role. Key attributes include:

* Demonstrated experience in editing, structuring and publishing high quality digital content using content management systems and HTML
* Demonstrated experience creating, manipulating, and preparing digital assets such as audio and images
* Ability to elicit and document business requirements, writing user stories, and developing design wireframes
* Ability to perform functional testing, create technical documentation and user guides
* Knowledge and understanding of WCAG accessibility requirements.
* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.

Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
