We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef who has a passion for food, excellent leadership abilities, and the drive to elevate our kitchen operations. As the Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain the quality and consistency of our dishes, manage the kitchen staff, and ensure a smooth kitchen operation.
Key Responsibilities :
* Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and menu planning.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring a high standard of food preparation and presentation.
* Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Manage inventory and stock levels, placing orders when necessary.
* Collaborate with the team to develop and innovate new dishes and seasonal menus.
* Oversee food preparation during peak times, ensuring consistency and quality.
* Handle food preparation, cooking, and plating with attention to detail and creativity.
* Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
* Step in for the Head Chef in their absence and support them with kitchen leadership.
Qualifications :
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
* A passion for food and a creative mindset.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene.
* Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* A formal culinary qualification is preferred but not essential.
