The role
Operational Improvement & Capability Specialist

Reporting to the Executive Manager Partner Transform and Transition, you will drive continuous improvement across Delivery Partners, combining data‐led insights, operational governance, and strong stakeholder collaboration to enhance field execution and product delivery capability.

Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement across Delivery Partners by combining data‐led insights, operational governance, and strong stakeholder collaboration.
  • Analyse performance trends, identify systemic issues, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive sustained improvement in field execution and product delivery capability, ensuring Delivery Partners meet nbn's expectations for quality and customer experience.
  • Bring focus and momentum to field capability improvement initiatives by supporting the design, prioritisation, and execution of targeted programs, tracking progress against action plans and ensuring visibility of outcomes.
  • Work closely with internal teams and Delivery Partners to embed best‐practice ways of working, uplift reporting and analytics capability, and support the adoption of new tools and technologies.
  • Engage across cross‐functional forums to represent the voice of the field, ensuring operational realities are reflected in strategic decisions.
  • Create a more connected, responsive, and high‐performing delivery environment that supports operational excellence and positive customer experiences.
Qualifications
  • Collaborative and insight‐driven professional with experience in telecommunications, operations, or delivery‐partner environments.
  • Strong ability to work with data, uncover meaningful insights, and translate them into practical actions that drive real improvement.
  • Inclusive and relationship‐focused approach, building trust quickly and working effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Comfortable navigating complexity and bringing clarity to challenging problems, balancing analytical thinking with a proactive, solutions‐oriented mindset.
  • Naturally curious and motivated by continuous improvement, with a passion for enhancing capability, performance, and customer outcomes.
  • Ability to connect people, insights, and actions to create meaningful and lasting impact across nbn's Field Partnerships.
