Position Overview
Brighton Grammar is an Anglican school founded in 1882, focused on developing and guiding each student to achieve their personal best. We are recruiting Swim Instructors for our Learn to Swim program, catering to children aged 4 to 12 years. This casual role is suited to individuals seeking flexible hours, with sessions scheduled on Tuesday to Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
Responsibilities
* Deliver structured swim lessons and squad sessions in line with seasonal plans.
* Create a safe and supportive learning environment suitable for the maturity of the swimmers.
* Foster positive relationships between the school and the community.
Qualifications and Experience
* AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming (or equivalent) and Water Safety qualifications.
* Current first aid and CPR certificates (preferred or in process).
* Demonstrated Learn to Swim teaching experience with technical knowledge of swim instruction.
* Commitment to high standards of customer service and strong communication skills.
* Well‐developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
Checks and Certifications
* Current Working with Children Check.
* Current National Criminal Record Check (or willingness to undertake a check prior to commencement).
