Headquartered in Nowra, New South Wales, QinetiQ Air Affairs, part of QinetiQ's Threat Representation business unit, provides targets and training services, and electronic warfare capabilities to the Australian Defence Force, in addition to aerial surveillance and reconnaissance in support of government firefighting efforts. Air Affairs owns and operates a fleet of special mission aircraft and maintains an advanced manufacturing and engineering facility providing design, manufacture and certification operations.

We are looking for a Procurement & Logistics officer to join our growing team.

As a procurement, warehousing, and logistics specialist you will be joining a small team where you will be responsible for the ordering and management of a variety of inwards and outwards goods, stock control and database management. Your commitment to quality and safety will see you succeed in this diverse role as will your understanding of a highly regulated logistics environment.

**Your day-to-day role will see you**:
Coordinate the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, warehousing, supplier management, outwards logistics, and inventory management.

Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to optimise supply chain processes.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, shipping documents, and supplier contracts.

Manage purchase orders and follow up on delivery timelines. Taking responsibility for stock handling and management.

Monitoring and reviewing storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels.

Work closely with our internal stakeholders including our production and customer service teams to coordinate the most efficient and cost-effective delivery schedules for our customers.

Managing requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation to both domestic and international customers.

Prepare and procure relevant regulatory and customs documentation for international documents, including but not limited to SLIs, packing slips, commercial invoices, and other relevant import/export permits required for our products.

Support production and maintenance teams by creating and delivering parts kits.

Updating and maintaining approved supplier lists.

Assist with quality and other audits as required.

What you will bring;
A passion for procurement & logistics and commitment to a safety-first environment

Experience from the aviation industry or a similar environment such as food distribution, medical, chemical, or other highly regulated environments.

Knowledge of import/export processes and requirements across global supply chains would be an advantage.

A high attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Experience with the Office Suite of programs.

A continuous drive-in improving procedures and process.

A commitment to your own safety and wellbeing while caring for others.
