Base pay range
A$150,000.00/yr - A$190,000.00/yr

About the Role (your why)
The Cybersecurity Architect is responsible for using specialist expertise to develop and maintain analysis and recommendations to guide IT investment and design decision making.
What you'll do
* Developing and maintaining high level solution designs for projects and work within projects to resolve design issues and in evaluating design trade-offs.
* Providing technical consulting in multi-platform IT environments and performing analytical assignments as required by project management, particularly in areas of complex or critical need.
* Identifying and investigating opportunities to use emerging technologies in providing cost effective and flexible solutions, and maintain current knowledge of the organisation's business plans, existing infrastructure and emerging technologies.
* Reviewing new and existing Information Technology projects for compliance to Cybersecurity architecture by developing, documenting and communicating strategies and standards.
* Working with users and other architects, particularly on larger projects, to define the requirements of an application and specify an optimum design for subsequent development.
* Providing guidance and advice to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies in order to meet schedules and resolve technical problems.
What you'll bring
* Broad knowledge of Cybersecurity principles and practices.
* Broad understanding of Cybersecurity principles associated with networks, internet, email, operating systems, firewalls, VPN's, databases, virus management, intrusion detection, cryptography and e-commerce, with high level expertise/specialisation in several of these fields. Specialised knowledge in the areas of Cybersecurity Governance, Risk Management or Technical Services. Knowledge of the outsourced IT services market and infrastructure project requirements.
* Strategies to Mitigate Cybersecurity Incidents (like ACSC Essential 8).
* A good understanding of current legislation and precedence governing IT. Understand and experience with:

• Federal Government's ISM
*
• ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain Framework
*
• PCI-DSS Sound financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue.
* 7+ years' experience in IT.
* 5 years' experience in a Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Audit or equivalent discipline.
* Experience in a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) environment.
* Ability to work on assignments of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
* Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions within defined procedures and practices.
* Assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
* Ability to frequently interact and network with a variety of stakeholders and team members within own area of expertise.
* Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organisational goals.
* Ability to act as informal team leader and mentor developing employees.
* Bachelor degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Risk Management, Audit or a related discipline.
* SABSA Chartered Security Architect - Foundation Certificate (SCF)
