We seek an experienced and highly skilled Chef to join our esteemed team at a renowned 3.5-star motel in Yeppoon, Queensland.
About the Role:
* The ideal candidate will possess at least 1 year of experience as a Chef, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
* Able to produce outstanding dishes that cater to diverse tastes and preferences.
* Extremely creative, with a passion for innovative cooking techniques and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation regulations, adhering to our restaurant's comprehensive Food Safety Plan.
2. Assist colleagues in preparation, ensuring seamless service delivery.
3. Develop and implement effective plating techniques and cooking procedures, training staff members to achieve consistency and quality.
4. Bake, grill, steam, and boil a variety of meats, vegetables, fish, and poultry to meet customer demands.
5. Maintain exceptional knife skills, minimizing waste and mentoring others on specific meat and fish cuts.
6. Collaborate effectively with waiters and other staff to ensure timely food delivery.
7. Verify that equipment, food stock, and inventory meet our restaurant's stringent standards.
8. Prioritize proper storage and handling of raw ingredients to prevent spoilage and contamination.
Your Qualifications:
* At least 1 year of experience as a Chef.
* Excellent time management, scheduling, managerial, and organizational skills.
* Outstanding interpersonal skills, able to work well with diverse personalities and under pressure.
