We’re seeking Disability Support Workers in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne to support our clients.
About
Healthscope Independence Services has been helping people living with disabilities to live fulfilling lives for 28 years. We offer community and in-house support across several states in Australia, promoting a person-centred approach. Our passionate team works with individuals to support their independence and help them live the lives they choose.
What your role will look like
No two days are the same! As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred care to support our clients with various daily living activities. Your duties may include personal care, medication assistance, shopping, or cooking. Most importantly, you will be supporting clients to achieve goals that matter to them. We value employees who enjoy a varied workplace and are eager to develop their skills.
Your role will involve attendant care work in clients' private homes, with opportunities to work within a Healthscope house.
To be successful in this role
You will demonstrate a passion for working with both mental and physical disabilities.
You enjoy challenges and celebrate small successes.
You demonstrate empathy and a caring attitude.
Hold a valid NDIS check, CPR, and First Aid Certificate.
Be fully COVID vaccinated.
Have the right to work in Australia.
Relevant qualifications are preferred, but we will provide training for the right candidate.
