Details: The Data Products Team within the BI and Data Hub is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality data products that enable secure, reliable, and scalable access to organisational data. Operating within the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), the team leverages modern cloud technologies—including Microsoft Fabric—to deliver robust data flows and solutions that support strategic objectives and business needs. By collaborating closely with technical teams and stakeholders, the team ensures data products are well-documented, continuously improved, and aligned with organisational standards and priorities.
Under direction from the Director, the Developer in the Data Products Team is responsible for:
* Execute data development and release activities by actively designing, building, and optimizing data flows on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Fabric to deliver robust, scalable solutions that meet project and operational needs.
* Perform comprehensive technical data discovery and analysis, including analysing back-end data structures, and documenting data lineage and dependencies to inform the design of robust data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions.
* Adhere to documentation standards for all data platform design and build activities.
* Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to plan, design, and deliver data capabilities aligned with strategic objectives.
* Undertaking other duties appropriate to this level of classification that contribute to the division or directorate.
* This position does not involve direct supervision of staff.

Eligibility/Other Requirements
* Minimum of one year’s experience working in a field relevant to this role.
* Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
* This role may require you to obtain and maintain an Australian Government NV1 security clearance, which will be sponsored by the Digital Canberra. In order to be eligible for an NV1 security clearance, you must be an Australian citizen. If you are not successful in obtaining a Security clearance, your employment in the role will not commence. If already commenced, your employment will be terminated.
