We are seeking a Functions Manager at National Gallery of Australia and Australian War Memorial! You will work across both iconic sites on the various functions and events. You will be supported by the venue managers and a team of dedicated and professional functions staff.
**The Role**:
- Experience in managing events (2+ years)
- Training and onboarding new employees
- Delivering high quality food and service of food items for the site whilst following food safety standards, policies and procedures
- Host and usher duties when required
- Maintaining clean, safe and hygienic work practices
- Operating POS System
**About You**:
- Immaculate grooming and pride in presentation
- Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Ability to work across a 7 day roster; hours vary due to event operations
- Previous experience working in a flexible, multi-skilled team setting is an advantage
- Able to be a team player, with a positive and can do attitude
- **Must hold a valid national police check which is no older than 4 weeks; must also hold RSA**
