Our Client
Our client is a major government organisation currently delivering a significant upgrade to its digital foundations across the state. As part of a broader ICT uplift initiative, they are executing several high-priority infrastructure projects and transitioning a major service provider. This is a fast-paced and technically complex environment requiring the leadership of a Senior Project Manager.
The role sits within a transformative program aimed at modernising core digital infrastructure and service capabilities. This includes major undertakings such as:
Relocation of a large-scale enterprise data centre
Remediation and upgrade of ICT communication rooms across key facilities
State-wide deployment of enterprise-grade network and Wi-Fi
Migration of observability platforms and uplift of mobile duress systems

Role Responsibilities
As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing both infrastructure and service transition workstreams, with a focus on planning, delivery, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment.
Leading the technical transition to a new service provider, including system integration, testing, and ICT changes across multiple facilities.
Coordinating updates to vendor contracts, ensuring inclusion of critical terms such as cybersecurity and SLAs.
Driving large-scale project planning and execution aligned with program and organisational objectives.
Managing and resolving stakeholder expectations across technical, operational, and executive teams.
Leading end-to-end vendor management, including performance oversight, contract optimisation, and service delivery improvement.
Managing project budgets and resources with a focus on maximising ROI and efficient delivery.
Implementing change management strategies to ensure seamless adoption of new technologies and workflows.
Providing strategic insights through comprehensive reporting and performance tracking.
Required Experience
Extensive experience in managing complex ICT infrastructure and service transition projects.
Strong leadership in stakeholder engagement and alignment across all organisational levels.
Advanced risk management expertise with a proven record of mitigating major delivery challenges.
Deep experience in vendor performance management, service improvement, and contract negotiations.
Highly developed project financial management capabilities.
Proven capability in project quality assurance, governance, and reporting.
Strong background in delivering infrastructure-related ICT solutions, including network and cabling projects.
Excellent communication, reporting, and strategic decision-making skills.
Previous experience managing service transitions in public sector or regulated environments.
Exposure to infrastructure upgrades in clinical, laboratory, or high-security operational settings.
Demonstrated experience in delivering enterprise-grade networking and communications projects.
