- **Salary: $120,859 - $133,183 plus super**

**About the role**

Lead and support a team to undertake risk-based regulatory functions to ensure the quality of NSW early childhood education and care (ECEC) services, the safety of children and to foster continuous improvement in the sector.

You'll support your teams role in the implementation of the National Quality Framework, through monitoring and compliance, and quality assessment and rating of ECEC services. Collaborate with other teams to enhance workforce capability and sector engagement. This role offers the chance to impact early childhood education outcomes, with a focus on improving ECEC services to give children the best start in life.

**About you**
- Passionate about the health, safety and wellbeing of children and committed to making a difference across Early Childhood Education and Care services in NSW.
- Have knowledge of or experience in the ECEC sector.
- Proven ability to lead and manage people in a regulatory environment.
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritise in a risk-based setting.
- Excellent literacy and communication skills.
- Experience engaging with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the **ECE First Steps Strategy** as well as the**Department's Aboriginal Education Policy** and upholding the **Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG** and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
- Ability and willingness to travel to meet the requirements of the role.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
- A valid driver licence
- A valid Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the **value of public education**.
