About the role
Join the dynamic team at our historic Moss Hotel as a Front Desk Hotel Receptionist in Hobart, TAS. This position is the first point of contact for our hotel guests, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless check-in/check-out experience.
What you'll be doing
* Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
* Front desk operations, including check-in/check-out, handling guest inquiries, and processing payments
* Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and transportation options
* Coordinate with other hotel receptionists to ensure guest needs are met
* Maintain a clean and organised front desk area
* Comply with all hotel policies, procedures, and safety protocols
* Assist with housekeeping when required
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in a front desk role within the hospitality industry
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
* Proficient in using hotel management software and various office equipment
* Ability to work flexible shifts, including late nights, weekends and holidays
* A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
