Their proven success in delivering high-quality assessments and fulfilling HSE / NHS contracts sets them apart as a trusted provider.The RoleJoin a thriving service in this rewarding role, where you'll provide critical assessments for families and adults as part of the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team. Focusing on children referred via HSE / NHS Patient Choice and GP pathways for autism and/or ADHD assessments, this position offers flexibility with hybrid working options.For hybrid roles, travel to the Newcastle office is required.Key responsibilities include:
* Performing specialist diagnostic assessments for autism and/or ADHD using established tools, with occasional mental health assessments as needed.
* Preparing detailed, professional assessment reports with actionable recommendations and interventions in a timely manner.
* Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
* Supervising and mentoring junior staff (based on experience).
Assessments are primarily conducted on behalf of HSE/NHS via GP referrals, with some tasks manageable remotely, offering flexibility and work-life balance.Qualifications & Skills
* HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist.
* Relevant degree in Psychology.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
* Demonstrated experience conducting diagnostic neurodevelopmental or specialist developmental assessments with children and young people.
* Clinical experience supporting children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties.
* In-depth knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools for autism and ADHD.
* Proficiency in differential diagnosis.
* Ideally trained in ADOS-2 and/or ADI-R
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with strong report-writing and record-keeping abilities.
* A collaborative team player comfortable in a multidisciplinary setting.
* Additional qualifications in autism, ADHD, or related fields are highly desirable.
