The Project
We have an exciting pipeline of upcoming projects in Townsville, QLD, for which we are recruiting experienced Project Engineers.
Project Engineer Role
The Project Engineer is accountable for operational management to deliver optimal results while maintaining a safe working environment, cost, and quality delivery as per the tender.
A typical day in this role will involve:
* Overseeing business performance and providing recommendations for improvement and growth
* Contributing to the preparation of operational project budgets and plans, adhering to current business unit and group requirements
* Demonstrating a personal commitment to our safety culture, policies, and management system expectations
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice and conduct
* Maintaining health and safety as a consistent agenda item at all workgroup meetings
* Participating in consultative forums related to H&S management
* Initiating H&S processes across the project, including toolbox talks, inspections, and risk assessment and control
* Promoting incident reporting, near misses, hazards, non-conformances, system improvements, and customer complaints, with timely corrective actions
* Undertaking corrective actions arising from H&S processes, including incident investigations within agreed timeframes
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
* A degree qualification in Engineering or Project Management, or a related discipline
* Demonstrated experience in delivering construction projects
* Demonstrated capability gained in a business/project management role at a similar level
* Demonstrated ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and develop new business opportunities
* Preparation and management of operational budgets and reviewing financial information
* Overseeing and controlling the execution of tasks and projects within the branch/department.
