Seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer for a full-time permanent position located in Blackburn VIC.
**About the Company**:
One of Australia's leading electrical wholesalers has an exciting position available for an experienced Purchasing Officer on a full-time permanent basis. You will be responsible for purchasing, sales forecasting, inventory management and supplier relations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide support to Supply & Demand Planners, Company Branches and the Operations Team
- Generate purchase orders, delivery instructions, goods receipting in the system, and cost calculations
- Confirm ETA dates on purchase orders and update delivery dates in ERP
- Reconcile purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies
- Responsible for sales forecasting and inventory control to maintain consistent stock levels in line with sales
- Manage relationships with suppliers and keeping them up to date on order status's
- Liaise with internal sales team to keep customers informed regarding stock levels
- Prepare reports as required on purchasing and inventory usage
- Assist with ad hoc administrative tasks as required
**Ideally you will have**:
- Previous Purchasing Support experience or similar
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to manage conflicting deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office and M3 is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills, positive, self-motivated and solutions focused
