The role of Mine Controller is a key position within the Iron Bridge project.
This 6-month fixed term contract is critical to the success of the operation and requires accountability for the effective utilisation of the Fleet Management System.
You will report to the Mine Control Supervisor and play a key role in supporting the Iron Bridge Operation and contributing to Fortescue's Fleet Management development.
About The Role
* Execution of plans: Assist with the execution of 24 hour mine & maintenance plans, ensuring seamless operation of equipment and minimising delays.
* Equipment management: Maximise equipment productivity and efficiency by accurately reporting maintenance issues and evaluating data accuracy and integrity in the system.
* Data analysis: Continuously evaluate data accuracy and integrity in the system, interacting with the system to monitor and record operation of equipment statuses.
* Maintenance management: Monitor and action information provided by tyre management systems, weather applications and maintain the maintenance status of machines.
* Prioritisation: Prioritise competing demands - phone, two way and in-office communication, ensuring effective communication across the team.
* Critical failures: Understand the correct procedures in case of critical failures in the system and associated applications.
* System integrity: Ensure the integrity of the mine model (road network, locations, equipment etc.)
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experience: At least 1 year of experience as an operator in an open cut mining environment, with a strong understanding of the industry and its operations.
* Computer literacy: Advanced computer literacy skills and a passion for innovation and technology, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
* Pressure management: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, multitasking on several activities/priorities at the same time.
* Fleet Management: Proficiency in Fleet Management Systems is advantageous but not essential, with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly.
