Fancy a coffee & a chat?
How about becoming a volunteer companion for Jenny*
Wesley Volunteer Visitors is a service that connects volunteers with people who are experiencing loneliness or isolation.
Jenny lives in residential care.
She really likes to stroll outside in the garden and go out for lunch.
She especially enjoys a good cappuccino and a piece of cake.
She would love to have a visitor to help her go out sometimes and have a cuppa and a chat.
She also goes to the occasional cooking class.
You could play a game of bingo with Jenny.
It can take as little as one hour a fortnight to drop in and say hello to Jenny.
Our volunteers often say they get as much out of volunteering as they put in and they love the chats that they have with the people they visit.
What would it take for you to build a friendship with someone new?
We will introduce you and provide ongoing support, we even host celebration events to say thank you for making a difference to this person.
