E&E Waste is a family-owned, regionally based waste management company with a strong presence in the Darling Downs and Goondiwindi regions, including Dalby. Our services span general waste collection, recycling (including the Containers for Change program), liquid waste management, and industrial logistics. Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and regularly review HR strategies, policies, and systems to ensure they align with company goals and operational needs.
2. Lead workforce planning, end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and staff development across the Toowoomba, Goondiwindi, and Dalby operations.
3. Ensure that hiring processes are fair and effective, and that new employees receive thorough orientation and training.
4. Design and manage performance review systems to evaluate employee and team outcomes and implement improvement plans where necessary.
5. Support and train managers on handling staff issues, promoting respectful, productive workplace relationships.
6. Work collaboratively with unions and employees to negotiate pay, conditions, and industrial agreements.
7. Oversee employee relations, manage disciplinary procedures, and ensure confidentiality and legal compliance at all times.
8. Establish and maintain safety programs while ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and equal opportunity employment law.
9. Ensure redundancy and retrenchment processes are handled appropriately and with due care.
10. Monitor staff costs and productivity to support a cost-effective, efficient workforce.
11. Support payroll processes and HR reporting while maintaining accurate HR records.
Requirements
1. Minimum bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 1 years' HR experience, preferably within logistics, waste management, or transport sectors.
3. Fair understanding of Australian employment law, industrial awards, and HR best practices.
4. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
7. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
8. Proficiency with online HR and WHS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
