Spiecapag Australia, part of the world-wide Vinci group, are seeking experienced Planners. As we scale up a number of projects there will be both Permanent, Brisbane-based opportunities as well as Project Roles with FIFO opportunities.
Prior Pipeline or Drilling experience will be well regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the project Baseline Schedule using Primavera P6 Professional, as required.
- Maintain and issue regular progress updates of the project Execution Schedule both in Primavera P6 Professional and Trimble Tilos.
- Maintain the Basis of Schedule document (in Microsoft Word), including recording of changes throughout the life of the project.
- Maintain the project progress tracker (in Microsoft Excel) by actively liaising with all relevant disciplines to ensure accuracy and timely input of all progress.
- Monitor and communicate project performances in relation to planned performances. This includes producing an S-curve showing overall progress but also analysing performance activity by activity when potential delay is identified.
- Maintain the Earned Value Management systems in liaison with the cost discipline.
- Liaise with all relevant stakeholders (including engineering, procurement, construction, third parties and others as required) to maintain awareness of project activities, their status and their impact on the project schedule and manpower requirements.
- Proactively monitor the project execution schedule to identify as early as possible and communicate any concern or issue that may impact timely completion of the works.
- Assist engineering and construction disciplines in mitigating delays as they arise.
- Prepare extension of time claim schedules and support the commercial team, as required.
- Participate in schedule risk analysis, as required
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly project progress reports in a timely manner, based on inputs provided by all disciplines.
- Capture daily issues in schedule and reporting for notification purposes.
Key Skills:
- Expert level competency in using Primavera P6 Professional and Trimble Tilos (both required).
- Good proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A minimum 7 years relevant scheduling/planning experience within the construction industry, with at least one experience on site in pipeline construction
- Proficient understanding of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities
- Ability to develop project schedules and plans
- Ability to prepare resource loading, progress and staffing plans
- Detailed understanding of project management principles and techniques
- Good understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Uses initiative, experience and a proactive approach to problem solving

Ability to commute/relocate:
