This is a recruitment pool for Permanent Full Time, Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, and Part Time appointments with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency.

CLASSIFICATION - MP Year 1-9 $365,665 - $465,018 p.a. pro rata or $700.96 - $891.41 per session (inclusive of base salary and applicable allowances).

Rockingham Peel Group is part of the South Metropolitan Health Service, one of the fastest growing health services in Western Australia. It comprises two hospital campuses, Rockingham General Hospital and Murray District Hospital, and community and mental health services across Peel, Rockingham, and Kwinana. As the flagship hospital, Rockingham General focuses on providing high-quality general medical, surgical, and mental health services as well as outpatient care. Murray District Hospital offers inpatient medical services, palliative care, and allied health services.

SMHS delivers quality, safe, and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth.

Key Responsibilities

Leads the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist Anaesthetic services to patients. Promotes patient safety and quality of care. Provides leadership, orientation, training, supervision, and education, where relevant, for Doctors in Training, health service medical practitioners and other health workers. In collaboration with the Head of Department and other Consultants, works to achieve national, state, and SMHS performance standards and targets.
