Project Manager - Data & AnalyticsLocation: Melbourne (Onsite)Rate: Up to $900/dayDuration: 6 months (with potential extension)Clearance: Baseline or NV1About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Data & Analytics delivery for a large-scale, greenfield program within the federal government sector.
The project involves building a new data warehouse, developing use cases for advanced analytics, and implementing governance across platforms such as Databricks, Glue, Salesforce (with a partner vendor), and Microsoft DevOps.This role requires a balance of Project Management and Scrum Master capabilities, with a strong focus on governance, stakeholder engagement, and delivery excellence.
You will work closely with Solution Architects, Data Engineers, and Business Analysts to ensure contractual deliverables are met, governance processes are followed, and detailed reporting is captured in DevOps.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the delivery of a complex data and analytics program across the full project lifecycle.Ensure governance, reporting, and documentation are rigorously maintained in Microsoft DevOps.Collaborate with architects, lead engineers, and BAs to drive the delivery of epics, features, and tasks.Oversee dashboards and deliverables tracking, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones.Engage with business stakeholders to define objectives, risks, priorities, and feasibility.Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members, ensuring delivery excellence.Remove impediments and protect the team from external interruptions.Drive project governance, sign-off processes, and stakeholder reporting.Required Skills & Qualifications10+ years of Project Management experience delivering projects/programmes in Data & Analytics.Previous experience as both a Project Manager and Scrum Master, with agile delivery exposure.Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft DevOps for governance, task management, and reporting.Proven track record delivering large-scale data implementation projects.Experience managing Master Data Management/Analytics programs (advantageous).
Market-standard project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.).
Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and leadership skills.Experience leading teams of 15-20 people.Federal government project experience is highly regarded.Must be an Australian Citizen (AGSVA clearance preferred).
