What You Will Do
This role sits at the intersection of operational delivery, leader partnering, and regional complexity. You will work closely with senior leaders across APAC operations to support complex people matters, workforce change, and the quality of people decision-making across diverse cultural and regulatory environments.
This is a hands-on People Partnering role suited to someone who brings sound judgement, confidence in difficult conversations, and help leaders navigate performance, conduct, and organisational decisions across diverse cultural and regulatory environments.
You will lead a small People Partnering team while remaining close to the work across China, India, Malaysia and Australia.
You Will
* Partner with senior operational leaders across APAC on complex people matters including performance, conduct, capability, and organisational change
* Lead and develop a small People Partnering team, providing clear direction, prioritisation, and coaching
* Manage complex ER and IR matters, including investigations, union engagement, and Enterprise Agreement interpretation
* Apply workforce planning, organisation design, and change frameworks across multiple APAC countries
* Provide practical, risk-aware advice on employment conditions across APAC markets
* Use workforce data to identify trends, risks, and trade-offs, and support evidence-based people decisions
* Coach leaders on applying the Just Framework and Respect at Work principles in real operational contexts
* Promote wellbeing and psychological safety across manufacturing, office, and field environments
You Will Bring
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following essential experience and capabilities:
* Significant experience as a People Partnering Lead supporting senior leaders in complex, operational environments
* Demonstrated people leadership experience, including leading or guiding HR or People Partnering team members
* Proven experience working across multiple APAC countries, specifically India, China Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia, with direct exposure to differing cultural, regulatory, and industrial relations context
* Experience advising leaders on organisation design matters, including role clarity, spans and layers, and team structure, and coaching leaders to apply these principles in operational environments
* Strong ER and IR capability, including union engagement and Enterprise Agreement interpretation
* Experience partnering with senior operational leaders in manufacturing, heavy industry, or resource-based environments
* Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret workforce data and use evidence to support complex people decisions
* Sound judgement under pressure, with the ability to prioritise, escalate, and decide in ambiguous situations
* Clear, confident communication suited to engaging experienced operational and technical leaders
* Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Psychology or a related field
