Job Overview
As a skilled Remote Area Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive healthcare to Indigenous communities across the stunning Kimberley region.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver primary healthcare services, including emergency response, chronic disease management, and child and maternal health services
* Collaborate closely with Aboriginal Health Workers, GPs, midwives, and other healthcare professionals
* Participate in outreach services and health promotion initiatives
* Provide culturally safe and trauma-informed care in Indigenous communities
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse (with no restrictions)
* Minimum 2 years of Remote Area Nursing experience
* Demonstrated skills in acute care, chronic disease management, and immunization
* REC/ALS/MEC/PALS/Imms Endorsed or equivalent (essential)
* Experience using Communicare (desirable)
* Cultural awareness and experience working with First Nation communities
