BayleyWard are seeking a capable and design-focused Architectural Designer to join their growing Brisbane studio.
With a national portfolio of multi-residential, mixed-use and commercial work, BayleyWard combine strong design sensibility with practical delivery. Their Brisbane team is gaining momentum, and this role offers the chance to contribute from the ground up, with real opportunity for ownership and progression.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll work closely with the Principal and Senior Associate, developing strong, three-dimensional design responses based on project briefs. You'll be confident modelling options rapidly, developing material independently over a couple of days, and bringing well-considered ideas to review.
You'll also be competent in residential planning, with a solid understanding of general planning principles and the ability to craft smart, livable layouts.
Software & Presentation Tools:
– Rhino or SketchUp for 3D concept design
– Revit for drawings and schematic design to town planning stage
– Enscape or Lumion for rendering
– InDesign for documentation and presentation packs
– Ability to develop diagrams, sketches, and polished presentations using BayleyWard templates
The right person will:
– Bring a passion for design and curiosity to studio conversations
– Be comfortable presenting ideas to internal teams and stakeholders with support
– Respond openly to feedback and contribute to the evolution of the design
– Likely have 4–7 years of experience in architecture, with strong design capability and a desire to continue growing
