About the role
As a Disability House Coordinator at Value Residential Support Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate actively in their community. This is a full-time position based in Gold Coast, Queensland, where you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the residential home environment and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to our clients.
What you'll be doing
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential home, including facilitating buddy shifts, budgeting and maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment
* Develop and implement individualised support plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each client
* Coordinate and facilitate a range of activities and programs to promote the social, emotional, and physical well-being of clients
* Foster positive relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and supportive approach
* Monitor and report on client progress, ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services
* Provide supervision, mentoring, and support to a team of support workers to ensure the delivery of high-quality care
What we're looking for
* Relevant tertiary qualification in a field such as disability support, social work, or community services
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a demonstrated track record of supporting individuals with disabilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing circumstances
* Thorough understanding of the NDIS and relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in the disability support sector
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is required before starting.
* Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
