The opportunity
Teach For Australia is on an exciting growth journey and is strengthening its on-the-ground recruitment presence in Western Australia. This newly focused Recruitment Manager role is critical to rebuilding visibility, engagement and talent pipelines across WA universities, with a strong emphasis on face-to-face engagement and values-led recruitment.
Based in Perth, this role will see you acting as Teach For Australia's ambassador on campus, identifying, nurturing and inspiring exceptional graduates and career changers to apply to the Leadership Development Program and become part of a movement for educational equity.
The role
As Recruitment Manager (WA), you will join a high-performing national recruitment team while owning recruitment activity across Western Australia. This is a highly autonomous role with strong support from the broader team, focused on proactive outreach rather than passive applications.
You will be responsible for rebuilding Teach For Australia's presence across priority universities, particularly UWA and Curtin, and delivering ambitious but achievable recruitment outcomes through targeted engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and executing university-specific recruitment plans aligned to national strategy
* Building a strong on-campus presence through engagement with faculties, clubs, societies and student groups
* Identifying, nurturing and influencing high-potential candidates aligned to Teach For Australia's values and mission
* Actively sourcing and engaging graduate and career changer talent through events, workshops and one-to-one conversations
* Managing and coordinating casual brand ambassadors to support on-campus activity
* Working closely with national colleagues to deliver consistent messaging and candidate experience
* Tracking activity and performance through Salesforce CRM, using data to inform and refine recruitment efforts
* Supporting candidates through the assessment and selection process, ensuring they are informed, engaged and prepared
About you
This role will suit someone who thrives in relationship-driven environments and is motivated by social impact. You may come from a recruitment, education, admissions, fundraising or mission-driven background, or you may be a Teach For Australia alum ready to take the next step in your career.
You will bring:
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills and confidence building relationships face-to-face
* Experience influencing, motivating or recruiting people into programs, roles or causes
* A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to work autonomously
* Alignment with Teach For Australia's values and commitment to educational equity
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* The ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple initiatives at once
* Comfort working to targets and using data to track progress
* Resilience, adaptability and a genuine passion for developing people
Experience in recruitment, sales, admissions, advocacy, fundraising or not-for-profit environments will be highly regarded but is not essential.
What's on offer
* Salary of $92,500 plus superannuation
* Perth-based role with flexible working arrangements
* National exposure within a collaborative, values-led team
* The opportunity to shape and grow Teach For Australia's WA recruitment footprint
* Meaningful work that contributes directly to educational equity and long-term social impact
Part-time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.
