The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra is seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Orchestra Manager to support our musicians and help deliver exceptional artistic experiences.

As Orchestra Manager, you will ensure the smooth coordination of rehearsals, performances and musical activities, working closely with our musicians, artistic team and external partners. This role calls for someone with a deep understanding of orchestral music, who brings empathy, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic artistic environment.

The Orchestra Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the orchestra, with the following top-line key responsibilities:

· Oversee all musician-related activities across the full scope of the ASO's artistic schedule.
· Build strong, trusting relationships with our musicians, supporting respectful, solutions-focused communication.
· Duty manage rehearsals, performances, tours and other orchestral activities, working collaboratively with the Orchestra Coordinator.
· Manage rostering, workforce planning, recruitment processes, and payroll information with accuracy and attention to detail.
· Collaborate with the artistic team on planning, scheduling, and seasonal programming.
· Manage the orchestra in alignment with the industrial agreement.
· Represent the Orchestra Management team in all activities, liaising with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient management of all orchestral activities.
Due to the nature of this position, a flexible roster will apply, involving both weekend and evening work. Ability to undertake touring/travel (mainly within SA, internationally as required) is a requirement of the position
