**About the Role**
The Trial Coordinator works in a research team led by Professor David Berlowitz and based at Austin Health and the Institute for Breathing and Sleep. This research team examines sleep and breathing dysfunction in neuromuscular disease across a range of disorders including spinal cord injury and motor neurone disease/amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The research encompasses epidemiology and cohort studies, sleep and respiratory discovery experiments, especially upper airway physiology and imaging, upper-limb rehabilitation, controlled clinical trials, disease registry development, health systems research, health data analytics, and implementation science.

Under the direction of Professor Berlowitz, the Trial Coordinator will assist with the management of research and be an integral part of driving the program of research. This position will also assist with data collection, analysis, participant recruitment, ethics approvals, and the preparation of publications and presentations for scientific meetings. This position presents an opportunity to be at the forefront of innovative therapies that can make a difference to people living with spinal cord injuries, assisting them to get function back.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Directing the day-to-day operation of the research project to ensure timely execution
- Overseeing the planning and budget requirements of the project's activities
- Supporting the team to effectively engage and partner with the broader clinical research team, sponsors, trial governance, and other key stakeholders

**Who We Are Looking For**

You will also have:

- Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or similar, with post-graduate upper-limb rehabilitation and/or health systems research expertise.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and experience in data auditing, quality assurance and control.
