Accounts Payable Officer Role
The Accounts Payable Officer will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of both accounts payable and payroll processes. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will work closely with stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvements in operations.
Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, including invoicing and liaising with the team to resolve discrepancies.
* Monitor and follow up on outstanding purchase orders and reconcile corporate credit card transactions.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant financial regulations.
* Support payroll processing, including entering timesheets and allowances, verifying hours, and processing leave and other relevant payroll applications.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Diploma or higher qualification in accounting, finance, or a similar field, or at least 3 years' experience in a payroll processing and accounts payable role, preferably in a construction or manufacturing environment.
* Strong working knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices.
* Proficiency in accounting software and invoice recognition systems (such as Jobpac Connect or Maxisoft).
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
