As our portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking a mid-level Assistant Operations Manager to support daily operations and assist in maintaining service standards across all properties and teams.
The Role
This is a hands-on, mid-level leadership role as an Operations Assistant Manager working closely with the Operations Manager. You will assist in coordinating cleaning teams, schedules, quality control, and day-to-day operational problem-solving. You will be expected to work independently within your scope while escalating issues appropriately.
This role is suited to someone with solid operational experience who is ready to step into a more accountable leadership position within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, particularly during peak holiday periods.
Based in Surfers Paradise. Travel required between Brisbane and Byron Bay.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in managing and coordinating daily cleaning operations across holiday properties
* Support roster planning, scheduling, and job allocations
* Supervise and support cleaning staff and team leaders
* Conduct and assist with quality inspections to ensure HPS standards are met
* Respond to last-minute changes, urgent cleans, and operational issues
* Communicate professionally with property managers and internal office staff
* Assist with cleaning supplies, equipment, and stock control
* Assist with staff onboarding, training, and continuous operational improvements
About You
* Proven experience in a operations or supervisory role (experience in cleaning, hospitality, or accommodation is essential)
* Strong people-management skills with the ability to support teams under pressure
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills
* High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality outcomes
* Confident and professional communicator with staff and clients
* Fluent in professional English (Spanish language skills are a strong advantage)
* Ability to problem-solve quickly and make sound operational decisions
* Comfortable using scheduling systems, email, and basic reporting tools
* Valid driver's lisence and flexibility to travel between locations

* Proof of visa status and right to work will be required prior to employment
Engagement Structure
- $70,000 – $75,000 + super, depending on experience
* Initial engagement may commence on an ABN/contractor basis for the first 3 months, transitioning to TFN employment following successful completion of the initial period
