The role
As a Commercial Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping high-value, complex opportunities across defence, aerospace and engineering. You will bring commercial discipline to bids, contracts and negotiations, ensuring risk balance, margin protection and long-term value.
Responsibilities
* Leading commercial input for bids, proposals, tenders and subcontracting arrangements
* Developing pricing models, commercial assumptions and scenario analysis to support robust decision‐making
* Reviewing contracts and procurement documents to identify risk, margin exposure and commercial opportunities
* Coordinating with business development, finance, legal and delivery teams to ensure aligned and compliant commercial strategies
* Supporting negotiations with customers, suppliers and partners to secure favourable commercial outcomes
Essential Experience
* Demonstrable experience in commercial management, contracts, bid management or procurement within complex environments
* Solid understanding of tendering processes, pricing strategies and contract risk management
* Proven ability to work across multi‐functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
* Experience within defence, engineering, infrastructure, energy or other project‐based sectors
* Solid communication skills with the ability to present and negotiate effectively
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, Engineering, Procurement or a related discipline
