Overview
The Project Support Officer - Mobile Office Solution supports the team in the delivery,
support and recovery of the Mobile Office Solution for major events, such as a
Referendum or Federal Election. The AECs Mobile Office Solution delivers ICT
capability into temporary Out-posted centre warehouses. These warehouses are used
to stage, facilitate, and process the ballot papers resulting from major events. This role
requires a Project Support Officer with experience and knowledge of logistics. The role
sits within the IT Infrastructure Section of the Digital Technology Branch.
1. About our requirements
The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Support the team via reporting on project risks, issues, budget, and schedule
status.
Assist with contract and procurement management activities.
Implement effective change control.
Support AEC staff to meet stringent outcomes and organisational timeframes.
Communicate with stakeholders, both internal and external.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Azure DevOps for project management.
Experience in analysing data and other quantitative and qualitative information.
Ability to think critically and demonstrate excellent initiative and judgement to
deliver outcomes
A demonstrated ability to work autonomously and a strong commitment to working
harmoniously within a team to achieve positive results and support the AECs
strategic direction.

Additional responsibilities during an Electoral Event
The volume of duties significantly increases during an electoral period, and there
may be a requirement to work outside of standard business hours during this
time.
2. About the Project
The Digital Technology Branch delivers a range of ICT services to the agency including
infrastructure, application development and communications. ICT services are delivered
through a select sourcing model, with a mixture of in-house and outsourced resources.
The Digital Technology Branch is committed to building the agencys information
technology capability by providing resilient, modern, and secure systems informed by
data and insights, and to upskill teams to develop innovative new products and services.
The IT Infrastructure Section is responsible for the management and problem resolution
of the agencys ICT infrastructure, including:
ICT on-prem and cloud networks
Messaging systems
File storage and management
Database administration
Software delivery
4. Security Requirements
Applicants will be required to obtain a Police Check, and obtain and maintain a minimum
Negative Vetting 1 AGSVA Clearance
6. Work, Health and Safety
Applicants will be required to comply with the AECs WHS policies and standards including
the AECs COVID Vaccination policy.
